10 Minute Senior Care Content Marketing Tip: Have More than Facebook Friends
And we are back this week with another of our world-famous marketing tips for our followers working on their senior living or home care content marketing strategy!
Funny/not really funny thing happened to our pals at the Social Media Examiner this week…
Despite having almost 400,000 followers, their Facebook page vanished.
Poof. Up in smoke. Gone.
Not for any administrative tricks or content-related rules they broke.
Some sort of a “technical” issue. #FaceBugs
If you’ve ever tried to reach Facebook for any kind of customer service issue, well let’s just say, there doesn’t seem to be any kind of customer service.
So we thought it was a good time to remind you… Have friends beyond your Facebook pals!
Home Care and Senior Living Content Marketing Basics
Don’t rely on Facebook as your only way to build relationships with adult children, seniors and community referral sources. Think beyond the book folks.
Here’s what we suggest:
- You must get on the blogging train. Seriously. The train has left the station. If you don’t have a blog, put that at the top of your list for 2016.
- Have a method of capturing emails on your site and nuturing leads. We see this mistake ALL THE TIME. Providers have great blogs, but no way to subscribe and no strategy for nurturing.
- Which brings us to email newsletters. Another must-have if you don’t already. Have relevant, timely information in them. Don’t just spam subscribers with nonsense or you will lose them.
- Think about being a trendsetter in 2016. Try other social channels like Pinterest. Great visual opportunities and you can link right to your blog articles! And connecting with professional referral sources on LinkedIn.
And that sound you hear is our 10-minute buzzer warning us our time is up.
Unlike the presidential candidates who keep talking over each other and the moderators during all these never-ending debates, we respect the buzzer…
