Are leads the only reason to have a senior living blog?
This is a question we’ve received more than a few times in recent months.
It seems there was a workshop somewhere out there recently where a presenter told the audience that lead generation was the only reason to have a blog. That blogs created very little value to a site.
Say what??? Has been our response to that question over and over.
We often get on our soapbox about the fact that our industry is sometimes victimized by less than honest digital companies.
They’ve discovered many providers are a little behind the curve in mastering all things digital and content, and they take advantage of that.
This was one more example of a digital company trying to sell websites without regard for the long-term viability and value of said site.
So why do you need a senior living blog? What value does it bring?

A well-written blog that seamlessly incorporates evergreen topics and trending ones helps you site in many ways including:
- They help you build authority and position you as an expert in senior living
- Blog articles help you rank better in search engine results
- They provide you with great info to share on your social channels
- They answer questions families have about senior care and all types of senior housing
- A blog can provide your brand with a personality that is sometimes lacking online
And…yes… your blog can help you generate and convert leads.
