In today’s 10 minute content marketing update we’re discussing senior living holiday content…
Yep, Christmas in July comes to SCCS again.
That’s because the holidays are a season of year when families reunite. For some, it’s the first time they’ve been together in many months.
Adult children are often surprised by an aging parent’s physical or cognitive decline. Sometimes the changes are small, and other times it’s obvious the senior’s situation is one that must be immediately addressed.
Holiday gatherings also provide a format for sharing concerns and worries about an older loved one’s safety and well-being. Families often use the time together to discuss options and assign follow-up tasks to various family members so a plan can be created.
But you know all that right?
These scenarios play out in cities and towns across the country during the months of November and December. We see spikes in phone calls the week after Thanksgiving, as well as right after Christmas.
In fact, research shows inquiries can spike by as much as 50% during those times.
While families might not be calling during the weeks in between, they are searching for answers and options online.
Do you have content that provides the answers, advice, and guidance they need?
