You started the new year with a goal of upping your senior living content game. Great plan!
Having well-crafted senior living content is one of the best ways to generate unique leads.
One month later, however, you are getting writer’s block. Senior living content ideas just aren’t happening…
We get it. A thoughtfully crafted senior living content strategy is hard work. And it takes time.
Many of our friends in the industry just don’t have that kind of time. Your day jobs are already busy ones!
So we’re gonna help you out by giving you a quick list of ideas you can use whether you are talking about memory care, assisted living, or independent living.
Here we go…
Ideas for Creating Senior Living Content
- Tell the Stories: This is one of the single best strategies you can incorporate. The residents in your communities have so many stories to tell. From lifestyle stories to how moving to assisted living improved their life, find those stories and tell them. Pro tip: don’t rely on only your marketing team members to dig out the stories. Front line staff is often the keeper of the stories. Housekeepers, aides, transportation staff, and your maintenance crew likely have many tales to share.
- Start a podcast: It’s easy to overlook some of the interests and talents residents and staff have. You likely have people in your community who would make great podcast hosts. Video and audio make great additions to your website. The PR value of a podcast created and hosted by residents and staff makes it more than worthwhile.
- Create an FAQ page or column: Prospects and their families have questions, many questions. The experts in your communities have answers. Create an FAQ page on your site that you update frequently. You might want to ask and answer a question in a blog post and then add a condensed version to your FAQ page. For a unique twist, invite residents to help answer questions too.
- Guides and checklists: Sometimes what you really need is a meatier, more meaningful piece. Guides, checklists, and other helpful tools can be invaluable to families. Think about the topics families ask the most questions about and create a content piece that answers them. A few suggestions might be a moving guide, a piece that differentiates one type of care from another, and a guide on how to handle the first thirty days AFTER the move.
