Once in a while we stumble across an SEO scam so egregious that we have to make our senior living colleagues aware of it. This black hat SEO scam is one of those…
We’ve heard from a few of our clients that an SEO agency is making the rounds pitching “guaranteed” ways to improve your EAT score.
They somehow got their hot little hands on an industry list with names and email addresses.
And they are going to town trying to convince providers that their competitors are scooping up all of the family leads because they are rocking their “Google EAT score.”
Don’t Fall for the Latest Black Hat SEO Scam
Have you received one of the emails?
The pitch goes something like…
“Is a low Google EAT score costing you referrals?”
“Are you competitors getting leads that should be yours?”
“For a one-time investment of six zillion dollars (slight exaggeration), we can double/triple/quadruple your score.”
These pirates prey on senior living providers not having established relationships with quality SEO firms.
What’s the problem with that pitch you may be asking?
There is literally no such thing as a Google EAT score. It.does.not.exist.
Sure there was a Google EAT update, and it’s an important one to learn more about. (You can read more about it here.) But Google isn’t creating any scores for it.
Drop me a note if you have any questions about this or any other Google update. I’ll be happy to help!
