Not since the Panda days were looming have we had so many questions about a pending Google update.
We’ve heard from many of our senior living colleagues who are hearing from their SEO teams that change is coming, and it’s likely to be a significant one.
We’re talking about Core Vitals, which are part of Google’s Page Experience signals.
Core Vitals Google Update
Originally scheduled for May, the update was pushed back. Rumor is it will now be completed by end of August.
At it’s core (see what we did there?) are three basics factors: loading experience, interactivity, and the visual stability of the page.
With this Google update, the goal is to ensure the essentials factors of a website are delivered quickly and efficiently for visitors.
You’ve likely experienced a site that key elements take forever to load. Things spin. Your page freezes. You swear and drink wine. And then finally, if you are patient enough, the whole site appears.
Even if the content is fabulous, the experience isn’t. That’s what Google is hoping to change.
We know this kind of stuff is pretty uninteresting (aka boring) for those outside the tech world. But also know many of you feel the need to at least understand the basics of this pending Google update.
We get it. So we’ve pulled together a few resources we think you’ll find useful. Each of them is fairly straightforward and not overly loaded with tech speak.
