Once you look past the obvious sales bias of this sponsored article, there really is some good data to digest. It discusses all of those people who visit your senior living websites to self-educate before picking up the phone to call you. They hop around from one website to another if you don’t provide them with all of the information they need without having to give up their email address. It’s one more reason to really ponder your strategy for the gated vs. ungated content debate.
This is another hot topic that we all need to learn more about. While most of us agree that AI can’t replace the knowledge and voice of a good senior living content writer (it had to be said!), this is an issue that won’t go away. Google now says that they don’t penalize high-quality AI content. Therein lies the key. In an industry as complex as ours, can AI really get it right? And if it does, has the process resulted in copyright infringement, i.e., scraping content from industry leaders’ websites?
For years now, providers have worked hard to get each of their senior living communities or home care agency offices to appear in Google maps. Getting those Business Profiles completed is quite a project when your sites number in the double or triple digits. As of this spring, Apple is starting to take their maps more seriously.
